Fremantle Foundation Fund for Children and Young People
Each night in WA roughly 2,500 people under the age of 18 are without a home.
These figures are alarming and this tragedy plays out on a daily basis in Fremantle.
The Fremantle Foundation Fund for Children and Young People has been established to provide opportunities for the greater Fremantle area’s vulnerable youth through education, training, arts and community participation.
Long term disadvantage and inequality need to be addressed in a sustained and committed way. The Fremantle Foundation Fund for Children and Young People is a way to provide opportunities for our young people, not just now, but for many years to come.
In 2014 guests at the Fremantle Foundation Charity Ball kicked off the fund by raising $70,000. Further contributions have since been made.
In November 2014 The Fremantle Multicultural Centre were awarded a grant towards their important projects in the Davis Park area. Just minutes from Fremantle, the children of this community face many challenges to their long term health and wellbeing.
